Beware Of The Attack

Be careful. Watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart. Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

We have got to keep our guards up! We have got to be ready for these attacks. The enemy will try to attack us always in our minds. Whatever you do don’t isolate yourselves. Call someone for prayer. Put on praise music; remember the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. But most of all we must follow our Lord’s example and use the Word of God which is our sword to defeat the enemy.

Psalm 119:28 (Amplified Bible) My life dissolves and weeps itself away for heaviness; raise me up and strengthen me according to [the promises of] Your word. The Word comforts us, encourages, and lifts us up again. Man must not live on bread alone but on the Word of God. Draw close to God and He is faithful to draw close to you. Put on the whole armor of God daily and remember that your Strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

I love you all and I pray that our Lord gives you renewed courage as you trust Him more and more each day.

With all my heart,
Trophy of Grace

It defintely seems that Satan has an ability to attack us when we are at our weakest. Oddly enough, sometimes our emotional weakness doesnt reflect the circumstance we are goin through. This reminds me of a few weeks ago when one of our deep faith brothers found himself relapsing off of a difficult addiction, not because he was upset or having a bad day, but because something that day happened to him that he felt was amazing and in a celebratory fashion he went out.. of course he began by drinking and celebrating this great day and next thing you know Satan had him in his grasps and he relapsed. He was really upset at himself and kinda was beating himself up about it.. After a while the brothers in deep faith explained that it wasnt him, but Satan and that many times, even when we are happy Satan pushes those buttons. It is important that we pray each day and in every circumstance for strength. My devotional yesterday had a prayer that i really like it says "Lord, as i pray, I ask you for daily strengthening of my faith. Thank you for meeting each of my needs, one day at a time." If we only keep this basic principle in focuse, the attacks will be easier to depend... God is the armor of protection all we need to do is ask for it.
GOD BLESS!

I was dealing with a serious attack this week. One which I haven't faced in a long time. And in a matter of minutes, it completely consumed me. I allowed it to build strength for over a day, bringing me deeper and deeper into a hole. I knew I needed help in prayer and reached out. I reached out to fellow Christians and to the Lord, trying to gather as much strength as possible.

Yesterday morning, taking a deep breath and telling myself that this wasn't God's will and I couldn't let the enemy win, I began looking up scriptures to find comfort and reassurance. And the more I read, the more I could feel that heaviness lift. The shackles that weighed me down just hours before were being broken!

I continued reading the Word, praying and praising the Lord and my day continued to get better. I could still feel my battle simmering in the background, trying to find a crack in my spirit to break through and dominate me... but to no avail. My faith, love and trust in God was too strong to be fractured!

This morning I woke up to a wonderful song, I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe, and it was God's way of telling me that He is with me and that with Him by my side, I would overcome.

Exodus 15:2
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

Exodus 14:14
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.

My God is Faithful!

My God is Faithful!
Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.He lifted me out of the slimy pit,out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
