Always giving us confirmation

One of the best things about our Lord is that He understands how much we need confirmation. Confirmation that we are on the right path. Confirmation that we heard Him correctly. Confirmation that this desire on our heart comes from Him and not us. Confirmation that we hear his voice.

A couple of weeks ago I posted an article called, "He will see your vision thru". A wonderful godly women and partner in ministry sent me the following response on 3/19/08:

Think on this , ' I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing. But I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I heard from my Father. You did not choose me; I chose you. And I gave you this work ; to go and produce fruit, fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you anything you ask for in my name. John 15;15-16 Have a blessed day and thank you for your kind words, I receive it.

Tonight 4/7/08 I was just going thru my emails and reviewing which ones I could delete when I came across her response again. I do not remember what I had previously responded. But reading her response again is awesome because I can see that our Lord has been trying to give me the confirmation regarding my desires that I needed all along.

So I shared with her my experience this past Sunday. I will also share it with you.

This past Sunday at church I was worshipping the Lord in writing. It was then that the Lord gave me a Word of encouragement. Then he said "listen to my Word today with an open heart. I will encourage and keep you. Trust me."

The pastor spoke on what he calls the "One Factor" based on the Scripture out of Deutermony 32:30. He touched on different stories from the bible where God used one person's faith and courage to make a difference in the world. He went through the story of Jonathan and his body guard defeating the Philistines with the Lord's help. 1 Samuel 14:1-23

He then told of a story where a women at our church had a heart for orphans and became an advocate for them and that because of this one women's faith a great ministry evolved. They are now helping change many childrens lives.

I was moved with so much emotion. I was weaping and weaping from deep within my spirit. I was so encouraged because He was showing me that the desires that I have on my heart with the women's event ministry that we are working on incorporating, the blog, and the prison ministry were put there by Him. He showed that He would use me to make a difference in other people's lives. I felt humbled and honored that He loves me so much to give me the confirmation that I needed.

I am so glad that He is always there to encourage us and let us know that we are on the right path.

My God is Faithful!

My God is Faithful!
Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.He lifted me out of the slimy pit,out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
