We are not consumed


There are times that it seems like when it rains it pours. One problem after another surface. Obstacle after obstacle obstructs our view. It feels like I am about to be consumed with all of life's drama! Just when I feel weak and I can't take it any more God shows up right on time. He makes a way when there did not seem to be one. Several months ago I came across Lamentation 3:22-25. Just the other morning my mentor shared it with me again. It says,

"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness." I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him. The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;"

We will NOT be consumed! No matter what forces come against us we will always overcome. Even though we feel like we are pressed on every side by trouble we are not crushed and broken because the Lord's compassion never fails. We can trust him. He is our strength. His Light is a lamp to our feet and gives us direction on our path.

I have seen His faithfulness and mercy in my life consistently. He never fails. Trust and see that the Lord is Good. He is waiting for you to surrender it all to Him. Then you will experience peace which surpasses all understanding and He will be faithful to protect your minds and hearts as you put your trust in Him.

Everyday I come closer to Lord and especially being a new believer, I feel he has placed me with the knowledge and eyes to see further in the word by blessing me in so many different ways. Those blessing I'm receieving have always been there but I've been blinded by the everyday world, not realizing that the Lord has been the one blessing me from the beginning. Reading these blogs everyday really show me that he has blessed so many people in different ways and how the Holy Spirit can manifest its self in your life one way or another. Keep writting these blogs for I know that I am not the only one feeling touched or blessed by reading the words you write.

Normally when someone thinks of having an 'obstacle' in front of them, they think of something big. No one really notices all the smaller hills they have to cross until their legs are tired from that path. I've realized that these small hills have consumed me of late.

Reading this blog gives me the reminder I need that the Lord will get me through my trials and tribulations. And seeking Him will bring me out of this inner turmoil.

The Lord's compassion never fails.
We can trust him.
He is our strength.

Knowing that, why feel overwhelmed? Why stress about your obstacle? The Lord is my strength and will Him, all things are possible.

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.He lifted me out of the slimy pit,out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
